After the 9-month internship in the supply chain department, Amazon China, I developed particular interest in business intelligence and data analytics. My major responsibility was extracting data from Amazon Data Warehouses, providing insights from business data analysis to support operation excellence and developing solution proposals based on the results, I also learnt a lot through cooperating with experienced colleagues and made it clear of my career goal. My SQL and Tableau skills are also improved a lot during this period. To get me started on my career path and lay me a solid foundation to pursue long-term career goal, I decide to continue studying MS Business Analytics in the University of Rochester. I attended analytics-based and conducive courses which advance my business analytics expertise and skills. To be specific, courses such as Data Management for Analytics, Programming for Analytics, and Advanced Business Analytics introduce to me comprehensive knowledge of business analytics and teach me to facilitate business decision-making leveraging computer programming and data-processing techniques. I am deeply convinced that the knowledge and skills I will have garnered at graduate level will bring tremendous help for me to identify new opportunities for improvement of operational efficiency and organizational systems. Besides, I developed leadership and coordination skills through completing academic projects and planning club activities in collaboration with classmates.
