I deliver 3-hour workshops regarding heavy topics such as mental health at university, and sexual violence, at the University to students and staff alike. Following the workshops, 91% of attendees recommended the programme to others.

As Welfare Officer, I aim to make the transition between school and university smoother for incoming students, to increase mental health awareness for engineering students, and to work with other societies to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.

As President, I: - grew the society's membership by 50%- introduced an annual networking event with alumni that had over 50 attendees- planned and moderated a panel event titled 'Accessibility and Assistive Technology in Healthcare' - developed the Health Data Analytics research division with the division leader

As a treasurer, I have been working with our finances. Namely, I have been working on new fundraising ideas, as well as events ideas.

Continuing my position as Year Representative from 1st year to 2nd year, I was the main point of connection between my year group and the committee of the Glasgow University Biomedical Engineering Society. In the first year, the main focus was on socials, and creating a university atmosphere online, which was created from the communications between myself and the committee. In the second year, I helped hold more academic events, such as coding courses and study sessions.

As President of UGATS, I will co-ordinate with business teams and engineering teams, to reach out to investors and customers, pitch presentations, and lead the society for growth and personal development of its members. As this is the first year this will be a registered society, the focus will be on developing the society for future members.

This society holds the project BrailleBot. As a scientific advisor, I directed research of materials and resources for a prototype, helped create presentations, and worked closely with the engineering teams.

In this job, we contacted alumni of the University of Glasgow to ask if they would donate money to the scholarships available at the uni. During my time here, I have helped raise a substantial amount.

As welfare officer, I was tasked with writing and maintaining a welfare constitution. This was made public to all members, and I answered any queries, and helped resolve any issues that members had with the society.

As this is a fairly new student society for both LGBTQ+ people and allies in STEM, social media presence is particularly important, especially to attract new members and in assisting in people's queries. I advertised all the events and any significant news updates on multiple platforms, and supporting the President and the other committee members. I have created multiple social media accounts, and group chats for general members and also specific ones for committee members only, and this has brought in at least 40 new members within 3 weeks.

As a unit counsellor, I created activities with the children, and then appropriately lead them depending on age level. I allowed children to grow their confidence, try new activities, and have fun over summer! I also allowed the space for growth for the CITs, counsellors in trainings, and gave weekly feedback.

As a Customer Assistant, I worked as part of a close-knit team in the Café, and helped to maintain the existing public image that Morrisons has. The most necessary skills to work in the Café are, in my opinion, the ability to learn things quickly, independence, and good communication. I also supported other departments within the supermarket, in particular, the Checkouts.
