I am a West Virginia University graduate with my Bachelor Degrees in both Environmental Geoscience and Geography, and with an Area of Emphasis in Natural Resources, Environment and Development. I have had extensive GIS training while in college and took a position as an Environmental Technician with Pollard Environmental in Richmond VA for 5 months after graduation. The extent of my work with Pollard Environmental included providing inspections for homeowners and taking soil samples of the ground surrounding potentially leaking petroleum oil heating tanks, collaborating with the DEQ to determine whether the tank is leaking enough to be removed or drained and filled, and drilling wells into the groundwater to inspect and monitor the contamination levels on a regular basis.
