For this block, we have built a centers model where student's rotate through various activities based on their individual needs. Activities range from Tier 2 level interventions on literacy, legos & lego robotics, strategy and sportsmanship, library, mindfulness via social emotional learnings, and online learning. Every student also rotates between project based learning, art, and science throughout the year. I have also spearheaded the full build of an online platform that integrates data from student applications, and provides a tracker for students, parents and staff collating progress towards, weekly, monthly and yearly mastery goals. This platform uses algorithms to personalize goals towards individual student needs and ensure transparency and accountability on work needed. -

We’ve worked with over 10,000 students across the slums of India to generate a baseline of their knowledge. We then worked with the top 10% of students to bridge their gap in education to transition them to an affordable private school. Vidya covered the students’ tuition for two years and provided support for supplies, books, etc. In an interview with our recent graduates, most did not expect to pass 7th grade – 89% of them are now going into 10th. I worked to create the initial organizational strategy, led an operational team based in Chicago, and managed an on-the-ground team in Delhi, India. In addition, I led the website development, worked with the fundraising team, executed key community events, and developed core partnerships key to our mission. -
