Executed the responsibility of the sustainable management of hill crop geneticresources for their bio-prospecting and improvement. M.Sc. (Agri. Biotechnology) andBioinformatics Programmes funded by DBT were strengthened. Collection,inventorization, cataloguing and conservation of crop genetic resources from the Indian Himalayan Region were undertaken

Experience of teaching courses in genetics, biotechnology and plant breeding to both Under-graduate and Post- graduate students. Supervised 14 MSc / PhD students .Attended advance courses in Rhizobium genetics, mutation breeding and science writing and journalism.
