The tools involve UI facing solutions that capture user information, Machine Learning solutions that help deduce the measurements of the feet and 3D Model generation solutions. Along with these core tools various internal systems are developed to manage orders and to review generated 3D models.Technical highlights of this effort included building a new iOS app using Swift, using RabbitMQ for messaging between various backend systems, developing Machine Learning tools to capture the foot measurements from the uploaded pictures, integrating with Rhino/Grasshopper to generate 3D models and migration to SaltStack for DevOps.

It involved architecting and developing the existing products to adapt to a new kind of user. It involved dynamic updates to the user experience based on the user role and expanding backend systems to handle multiple sources of ordering. Technical highlights of this effort included migration iOS app from ObjectiveC to Swift and introducing Dependency Injection to handle dynamic experience to iOS code base, refactoring backend systems and expanding the test coverage.

I was involved in developing an application that helped the workshop employees estimate the work and materials involved in the repair of a rail car. The project involves in integrating with the existing SAP system which was the source of truth for the data consistency in a work order. I was also involved in developing a time entry system for the workshop employees. The application integrated with PeopleSoft Payroll system. Java was the core platform along with open source products such as Spring, Hibernate, JBoss application server were employed. Integrated with external services using Tibco. The UI was a Ajax rich web application powered by JQuery and Dojo frameworks.
