25 years of experience working at Amersham International, a major international pharmaceutical company. During that time I worked in Radiochemical and Immunology Laboratories. As principal technicians and scientists we were responsible for manufacture, development and control of a large catalogue of products used in Research and Drug Discovery. Produced MSDS, Methodology (MBR data sheets), high level manufacturing of radiochemical and immunology products. Trained in Risk Assessment and Environmental Safety standards with laboratory manufacturing processes.Amerhsam was then acquired by GE Healthcare. I worked for the company to 2006.2006 - 2011 A role for a career change in Techniquest where I worked as a Programme Presenter, Trainer and Developer. Techniquest is a leading Science Communication and Education facility with extensive experience in STEM engagement.My role is now to Coordinate over 2000 STEM professionals in the STEM Ambassador Programme on behalf of the STEM Ambassador Hub Wales.The role involves recruitment, processing DBS certificates, facilitation and support for their engagement with schools, community groups and public events.STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs and disciplines across the UK.
