*Develop and implementation of strategies and plans to ensure that the organisation effectively pursues its aims and objectives in the short, medium and long term. *Provide strategic leadership and management of the organisation to ensure the delivery of quality services and support to communities across the East Riding of Yorkshire.*Liaise with partners from all sectors to represent the voluntary sector and influence strategies, policy and service delivery.*Identification of income streams and opportunities and lead the organisations development in bidding for, and securing funding and contracts.*Provision of information, advice and governance support to the Board of Trustees.

Internal Aspects:*Overall responsibility for the finance function of the organisation including development and maintenance of internal financial controls, financial policies and procedures.*Balance Sheet Reconciliations, treasury management, credit control, calculation of accruals, prepayments and depreciation.*Preparation of year end accounts ensuring compliance with the Companies Act 2006, the Charities Act 2011 and the Charities SORP ready for audit, liaise with external auditor.*Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cashflows for the organisation and for individual contracts.*Payroll Processing including statutory payments, attachment of earnings, student loans, pension contributions and RTI reports. Reconciliation and preparation of payroll journals. *Recruitment, line management and training of administration and accountancy employees, apprentices and accountancy volunteers.Community Accountancy (External Provision):*Initial set-up and continued management of the Community Accountancy Service and Payroll Bureau including paperwork and marketing ensuring compliance with CIMA guidelines, anti-money laundering requirements and other relevant legislation.*Support, train and provide advice to voluntary sector organisations on governance and accounting/financial matters including bookkeeping, VAT, annual accounts, management accounts and governance.*Set up accounting systems (manual and computerised) and processes to mitigate risk.*Preparation of year end accounts for charities, companies and unincorporated associations in line with relevant legislation and Independent Examination of accounts in line with Charity Commission requirements. *Preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts for organisational use, funding bids/tenders and support in developing monitoring systems.*Internal audit of finance and governance arrangements, policies and procedures for external organisations.

*Recording all financial transactions within the Sage Accounting software.*Treasury management, balance sheet reconciliations, journals and Credit Control.*Payroll processing for 21 companies using Iris PAYE-Master.*Delivered training, bookkeeping services, preparation of year end accounts to voluntary sector organisations.*Initial set-up, development and training of individual employees in the Volbase Management Information System.*Updating of the website.
