I am an experienced professional with over 15 years leading projects in the public sector. I am looking to broaden my experience and explore new fields of work. I am skilled at promoting community growth through forward thinking initiatives and value positive, productive team dynamics and relationships, seeking to lead by example.As a project manager for KeepAbility, a programme supporting military families, I utilise my personal experience in creating programmes to address challenges specific to this community. My focus is on building connections within the military families, businesses and local organisations. By working closely with local partners and leveraging resources available, I ensure that KeepAbility’s initiatives effectively meet the unique challenges military families face, fostering a stronger and more integrated community.In my previous role as a Music Specialist at Danetree Primary, I led a team of five creative arts teachers and managed a wide range of projects, including the development of a Local Learning Area policy that saved the school over 200 hours of administrative time annually. I spearheaded a targeted campaign that resulted in a 300% increase in instrumental lesson uptake, successfully introducing new instruments into the curriculum and expanding teaching hours. My event management experience includes organising over 30 annual events, engaging 800 students, such as 'Party on the Playground,' which combined music with social and environmental awareness initiatives.I have lead a range of development projects to meet the needs of diverse communities. For example, designed a curriculum for a Portuguese-speaking school incorporating elements like Brazilian Samba to celebrate and integrate their unique heritage. I have also designed and led professional development training sessions for education professionals, ensuring best practices are shared in areas such as risk assessment, pedagogy and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
