I am an experienced IBCLC Lactation Consultant with 10 years of specialist Breastfeeding Support experience. My role is primarily supporting parents with all aspects of infant feeding including breastfeeding, formula feeding, chestfeeding & mixed feeding. I support families in their homes, online, and in group settings by way of parenting workshops and social support groups. Within this support, my focus is the parent:child relationship; supporting meaningful connection for the long term emotional and physical health of both the parent and child. I manage my own caseload with a high level of care with consistent positive outcome and feedback. This includes completing comprehensive notes and providing ongoing support to families.My career in specialist breastfeeding support began in 2012 firstly as a volunteer with the Breastfeeding Network and then in paid employment within an award winning NHS breastfeeding team, covering a large area across Norfolk and Suffolk. On the dissolution of this service, I set up my private practice No Milk Like Mama's in 2017 (www.nomilklikemamas.co.uk). I liaise with other Healthcare Professionals within my role, such as Midwives, Health Visitors and GPs to ensure the best outcome for my clients and have collaborated with other agencies supporting parents such as Blossom Antenatal (blossomantenatal.com), Soulshine (soulshinenorfolk.org.uk) and Action 4 Children. I started a local Breastfeeding Cafe which is well attended and has seen hundreds of families since it's inception in 2018. No Milk Like Mama's has grown to be a well known and well respected business and I see clients from across the world. No Milk Like Mama's now also supports two other private practitioners offering specialist breastfeeding support and tongue-tie division. I have provided remote support to families online since the start of my private practice. I have built a large social media following on Facebook (www.facebook.com/nomilklikemamas) and Instagram (www.instagram.com/nomilklikemamas) and provide social media training to other businesses. I am confident using a variety of platforms professionally including Zoom and WhatsApp and have created my own online course at www.nomilklikemamas.thinkific.com/I have since added gentle sleep support to my services upon completing the highest level training in this regard (Holistic Sleep Coaching) as this is closely correlated to the needs of my clients. I am familiar with using interpreters to enable support to be universal. I am committed to supporting families of all values, beliefs and cultures.
