I am a newly qualified Solicitor in BTO’s highly commended Insurance team, working across a variety of litigated matters including motor liability, employer liability, professional indemnity and property/commercial litigation.I spent my traineeship at BTO across our Personal Injury, Clinical Defence, Commercial Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property and Data Protection teams.Prior to my traineeship commencing, I worked as a Paralegal and then Legal Executive on the firm’s Wills, Estates and Succession Planning team.I graduated in 2014 from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in Philosophy, focusing primarily on modern ethics in law, medicine and scientific research. This sparked my interest in the legal profession and I went back to university to study law in 2018, which I did via evening classes while working full time. I was awarded my LLB with Distinction in July 2021 and my DPLP with Distinction in July 2022, both from Robert Gordon University.Outside of work I am keen gamer and still, many years after leaving my first job as a bookseller, an avid reader.
