I have the privilege to serve BriteCore and its multi-national remote team in developing its 3rd generation microservices using Vue.js and Django. I take ownership of BriteNotes, a note-taking product for the cloud insurance software platform. As a senior developer, I'm honored to take lead in refactoring and migrating both BriteNotes and BriteClaims to support JSON:API. As the team lead in the newly formed technical services team in 2021, I am honored to mentor team members in understanding the architecture and functionality of various microservices and troubleshooting using observability tools such as Sentry and Datadog. My role allows me to deep dive into Django, and fiddle with the AWS ecosystem such as Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, etc. I enjoy facilitating communication between designer, product owner, architect, CloudOps, and tester to eliminate roadblocks early and to meet the vision set for projects.

As a senior developer, I drive the Agile agenda in the organisation and put in place processes to increase transparency and visibility of tasks and encourage collaboration among product, sales, development and support. As part of easing the boarding process in development, Docker and Ansible were used as part of the tools for one-click development environment.

Part of the development team in OnApp KL developing features for the CDN product primarily in Java, Python. Appointed as Engineering Manager for the CDN division in July 2016. Honored to play the role in shaping the engineering culture and processes with inspirational colleagues in OnApp. I enjoy the experience of facilitating collaborative efforts between devs, ops, and testers in solving tough design, infrastructure, and programming puzzles in our daily operations with distributed services running on 500 servers across all continents. I take lead in growing an engineering team of 12 beyond technical competencies, driven by organizational outcomes to achieve a sweet spot between productivity and satisfaction. Familiar with the content delivery industry and live streaming technologies. My role allowed me to deep dive into building performant microservices and performance tuning in the realm of Linux systems, Nginx, elasticsearch, and MariaDB.

Held various roles prior to the promotion to Senior Lecturer in 2011. Head the strategic action planning and implementation of the Centre in the areas of academic and administrative matters. Familiar with educational regulations and standards. Played an active role in curriculum development. Being able to bring student-centered learning into the classroom.
