I have broad expertise in the Biotech industry both as a research scientist and as a biotech business manager and owner. My career spans from senior positions in drug development and medical device development companies to building and managing commercial labs both in Australia and in the United States. I have received formal training in biotech research commercialisation and have a Double Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Business from Macquarie University. I have extensive knowledge and experience in ISO quality management systems, GCP regulations, GMP regulations, Biosecurity Approved Arrangements and NATA method verification, validation and audit processes. I have a PhD in Cancer Biology from Macquarie University and am passionate about developing early diagnostics and personalised therapeutics for cancer. I am also active in the entrepreneurial space and am involved in providing strategic direction to biotech and Medtech start-ups to build intellectual property, raise investments and facilitate mergers and acquisitions.
