Growing my networks nationally through the development of my core businesses, I joined a number of boards including Entrepreneurs' Organisation, Small Business Council for BIS and an expert panel on entrepreneurship for the EU Commission. These appointments allowed me to build connections, opportunities to represent business directly to central government and the EU, as well as continue to develop my business skills and networks.

Whilst developing my creative agency and online business news service, I fulfilled numerous board positions including Young Enterprise North East, The Prince's Trust, Business Link North East (BEG), Codeworks, NE Enterprise Bond and the CBI. I have always been passionate about the NE region, linking business, enterprise and education together to inspire the future entrepreneurs! I often took the role as communication expert, particularly online comms as well as other key areas such as young people and women. These roles supported my core businesses, and also helped develop my business acumen and overall skills.
