Sibusiso Dube is an admitted attorney with over a decade post admission experience. He holds a B Com Law and LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg. Sibusiso served his articles of clerkship at Bowman Gilfillan Inc and has worked his way up to Partner level over the years, being the position he currently holds. He also acquired in-house experience working at Standard Bank as a Legal Manager: Employee Relations and has also worked for a botique law firm as Head of the Employment practice group.Sibusiso is experienced on a range of employment issues including, but not limited to, unfair dismissals, unfair employment practices including unfair discrimination on any grounds, collective labour law, employment equity, transfers of businesses, retrenchments, restraints of trade, incapacity and incompatibility, lifestyle audits, management of senior employees, and Covid-19 in the workplace. He provides advice to a wide range of public and corporate clients. The other leg of his practice involves employment law litigation where he appears in various forums on behalf of public and corporate clients in disciplinary enquiries, at the CCMA & Bargaining Councils, PSL DRC, and the Labour Court. Sibusiso is also experienced in chairing disciplinary enquiries, conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct with a focus on sexual harassment; racism; bullying and intimidation; incompatibility; irregular, fruitless & wasteful expenditure; and providing training on employment related topics with a focus on harassment. He has a sound understanding of clients' needs having worked in an in-house role where he provided, inter alia, labour law support and strategic advice, including defending employment disputes across the Group.Sibusiso also has a keen interest in sports law, with a focus in the football industry. Sibusiso is also involved in High Court litigation on behalf of corporate clients.
