• Knowledge of various testing techniques• Ability to perform manual End to End testing using test cases and/or functional specifications – (Test Approach, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Execution Results and Test progress Reports.)• Design test cases and test scenarios based on analysis of product and business specifications.• Perform functional, negative, positive and regression testing.• Logging, tracking and resolution of defects on QC.• Provide estimates for completing test cases and execution. Work closely with the test manager and systems analysts to co-ordinate test activities and in so doing, ensure quality end results are achieved.

• Ensure all daily “alerts” reports received from management, Data Admin and the Strate/Settlements helpdesk are monitored throughout the day and action is taken, as per laid down procedures – within 15 min of receipt.• Ensure all reporting is done by informing clients in accordance to their SLA’s, i.e., short position notifications, alledgements, unmatched and failed trades.• Pro-actively identify gaps in rules and directives/procedure manuals and working instructions to ensure that corrective controls and procedures are implemented to avoid financial or reputational impact.• Ensure that system processes are aligned to market rules and directives.• Ensure responsibility and accountability for daily actions performed.• Partner with management team with a view of providing detailed analysis of errors within the team and discuss with an effort to find corrective measures.• Proactively identify risks and escalate to management immediately.• Ensure responsiveness to clients as per SLA in place.• Ensure that trades are actioned and progressed to the correct status, prior to leaving at EOD.• Ensure zero penalties, fines and losses because of operational errors due to the non-adherence of procedures.• Accurately track and discuss MIS (Market Information Stats) in terms of Non-STP stats and work together to drive the client in complying with SBSA Swift format requirements. • .• Contribute towards related projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met.• Participate and contribute in UAT and Client testing, as and when required.• Maintain internal and external relationships (STRATE, JSE -Helpdesk JSE Members, SA Reserve Bank, Central Depository, Transfer Secretaries Issuer’s, National Treasury)

• Ensure that the Lenders of the Securities Lending client’s collateral placed by the borrower against loans are pledged on a daily basis in the name of the Lender • Pledging and Un- Pledging of securities. • Issuing services• Partial Redemptions• Top ups and Buy backs of shares• Consistently liaise with Strate and the JSE

• Reconciling of all department accounts ( GL Accounts ,Corporate Cheque acc, Suspense Acc)• General banking duties ( Merva Verify, Client Hogan Balances, Quartz Verify, IBCS Transfers)• Dealing with Queries.• Demat and Remat of shares.• Settlements
