I am currently consulting as a Field Clinical Specialist. I created Clinical Support Solutions to help medical device companies with clinical support services for active clinical trials and new product evaluations in the operating room. I am currently working with Dilon Technologies, Convatec, and Sealonix on a part time consulting basis.I ensure that clinical trial protocols are followed in the operating room, the device is used correctly and safely, and the clinical data points for the FDA are recorded with the clinical coordinator at each site. I also assist with physician and staff education, as well as helping sales representatives with clinical education and case coverage for product evaluation on-site at hospitals that are in the decision-making process to buy a new product or need support for a newly bought product. In the past I was a Certified Surgical First Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery. I had privileges to operate at the University of Utah and VA hospitals, as well as procurement at Intermountain Medical Center. As the Cardiothoracic Surgical First Assistant at the University of Utah Hospital I worked directly with the Cardiac Surgeons assisting in surgical procedures under the direction of my physicians. My scope of practice included endovascular vein harvest for CABG, heart transplant, aortic valve replacement or repair, mitral valve replacement or repair, aortic aneurism, TAVAR, lung transplant, wedge resections, and much more. I was also a Facial Plastics Certified Surgical First Assistant at Mobley MD I worked closely with Dr. Mobley to perform in office surgical procedures. I was also responsible for the care of the operating suite, equipment, and instruments. For a few years I was a District Manager for the Aortic Intervention SBU for Cook Medical in Utah and Las Vegas. During this time, I was involved in training several surgeons and their staff members in endovascular procedures. While studying for my degree I worked in the operating room at the University of Utah Hospital where I was able to closely interact with surgeons and their patients. As a surgical technician I worked in GYN, GU, General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, and Cardiac Surgery. I am well organized and self-motivated. I enjoy working in fields where I can make a difference in the lives of others and myself.
