Full Stack Web Developer and Project Lead, HCI group member, Adviser: Dr. Cheryl SealsBrief introduction: This is an online learning and examination web system, called Automated Phonetic Transcription Grading Tool (APTgt), in order to improve learning outcomes in phonetic transcription using automated software tools. • Design and develop an online full stack learning web, in order to improve learning outcomes in phonetic transcription using automated software tools. • Meet regularly with clients who are professors from the Department of Communication Disorders at Auburn University to finalize requirements and work with other project members (7 in total).• Implement the front-end (using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSP and Bootstrap) and the back-end (using Tomcat, Java Servlet, JDBC(MySQL)).• Design algorithms to calculate the edit distance of two phonetic representations of a phonetic word (standard key and the students' answer) and report the transformation path.• Deploy the production code and do regular maintenance of the web server.• The web platform is used by two professors in the Department of Communication Disorders for more than 200 students.• The final product’s accuracy is 99.9%, speeding up the grading process 500%.
