Gold medal-winning KCL iGEM 2021 devised a 3D printed polycaprolactone scaffold coated in a synthetic mussel foot protein bioadhesive alongside optimized enzyme microinjection. As a subgroup lead alongside all the team members, I investigate spinal cord injury (SCI) pathology and develop a holistic and restorative treatment with synthetic biology via literature review and consultation. I worked in science outreach raising awareness of synthetic biology and SCI via social media campaigns, scientific articles, website development and short videos.
