Global Teams In Engineering Service (20 students) (Sep ’22 - June '23):Global TIES is UC San Diego’s internationally recognized program in social innovation and sustainable development. Interdisciplinary teams of undergraduates co-design solutions and partner with not-for-profit organizations in San Diego and in developing countries world-wide.• Increased access to sustainable energy sources for a community of farmers in the Philippines by organizing a workshop to construct solar powered lanterns for 50 people.• Facilitated the project development process for 9 teams by tracking timelines and deliverables.Bioengineering Capstone Project (140 students) (Sep ’21- June ’22):The UCSD Bioengineering Senior Design Project guides undergraduate Bioengineering students to complete a year-long engineering design project. The four course sequence leads them through the innovation process, from needs development and market analysis to ideation and prototyping. Students complete a design proposal, a technical report, a presentation, and a poster talk.• Mentoring 9 teams of undergraduate students through a year-long biomedical engineering design project by supervising technical documentation.• Assisted course instructor with course material and syllabus development.• Organized the logistics of Poster Session for 37 teams by identifying suitable vendors, for over 250 attendees.
