The beginning of my career in drug development was from the spring of 2021. I intend to utilise my knowledge and skills in terms of drug development and discovery in this industry.In 2006 I began my undergraduate studies of medical laboratory science and biotechnology at Taipei Medical University (TMU). During my time at university I developed a strong interest in medical sciences through practical classes in clinical medicine. Although I am especially interested in medical sciences, I also explored different subjects in my studies and works in order to broaden my horizons. In 2015 I worked as a research assistant for a UC Davis professor (Yoshikazu Takada M.D., Ph.D) who came to TMU as a visiting scholar. In 2017, in order to further my education, I applied for Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine at TMU which has a reputation for excellence in medical science. I began my own research into finding potential fibroblast growth factor mutation proteins for disease therapies.During my master's degree studies, I learned how to arrange different types of experiments, and solve complex problems, and became familiar with more experimental techniques. Studying in the graduate institute for two years has also strengthened my determination to learn more about drug development and clinical trials, which can connect bench-side to bed-side. In order to enhance more knowledge in clinical trials, I also joined CRA courses and other related sessions in my free time.In 2019, I was accepted by University College London (UCL) for drug discovery and development programme, but a deferral was requested until 2020 for my spine surgery. Since the worldwide circumstance was different from the past in view of COVID-19 pandemic, I decided not to go to the UK at this point and to start my career.
