Undergraduate Research Assistant
CurrentI actively work on several projects at the VA hospital with Dr. Erik Carlson. The Carlson Lab is interested in examining the role of cerebellar circuitry in cognitive functions within the larger context of developing and assisting treatments for psychiatric conditions. As a research assistant, I run behavioral assays that measure fear and reward-based learning, I work on Python and MATLAB programs to analyze and visualize the data, and perform miscellaneous laboratory skills such as IHC, antibody staining, cryosectioning, and stereotaxic intracranial surgeries to complement my projects.
