Welcome! I am an aspiring computational neuroscientist and philosopher at the UW hoping to increase public understanding of neurological diseases and disorders. I indulge in both science and art as a means of contributing to something that will increase our quality of life. Currently, I work at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System with Dr. Erik Carlson heading a Fear Conditioning project to understand Cerebellar Neurobiology to facilitate treatments for human affective disorders.

I actively work on several projects at the VA hospital with Dr. Erik Carlson. The Carlson Lab is interested in examining the role of cerebellar circuitry in cognitive functions within the larger context of developing and assisting treatments for psychiatric conditions. As a research assistant, I run behavioral assays that measure fear and reward-based learning, I work on Python and MATLAB programs to analyze and visualize the data, and perform miscellaneous laboratory skills such as IHC, antibody staining, cryosectioning, and stereotaxic intracranial surgeries to complement my projects.
