My group in Trimble was purchased by Command so there wasn't a major change. I'm still working predominantly with AWS serverless technology including CodeBuild, DynamoDb, Lambda, Kinesis, SAM, SNS, and SQS. Though I am working on some new (to me) tech: AWS IoT Core and EventBridge.

Worked on a wide range of projects including: - Migrating to a serverless back-end (AWS, NodeJS, DynamoDb, Kinesis Streams, SNS, SQS, etc.) - Track and trace mapping application - thick client (WinForms, C#) - Track and trace mapping application - back end (C#, IIS, Oracle, MongoDb) - Track and trace mapping application - web client (ASP.NET, C#, Javascript/CSS) - Back office windows service and DB support (C#, .NET, Sql Server) - Work on Continuous Delivery pipeline (CodeBuild, TFS, VSTS, Jenkins) - Built custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) - Created translatable Crystal Reports (Crystal Reports, C#)

Worked individually to design and implement an HR performance management module (peer review, 360 reviews, etc) within a larger HR management application. In addition to meeting goals for the performance management module, I was able to refactor several other pieces of code within the application to greatly improve performance. I also led .NET training courses for engineers to facilitate a transition from ASP to ASP.NET (C#). While the HR module was my own, I was in a small group for the overall HR product. Since it was a small group we all acted as production IT support (IIS) as well as DBAs (Sql Server).

I worked with the team to develop an student visa management software application (ASP, IIS, Sql Server) for domestic universities. The company was small so my responsibilities quickly grew to include managing professional services (consulting) and customer support. I created and implemented a number of initiatives which benefitted this small company greatly: - I developed and maintained an installation application which deployed the web application to IIS, configured Sql Server, and deployed the scripts necessary to run the application. The previous strategy was going to be to send technicians to every customer site and manually deploy the application, so by implementing an installation I saved the company a great deal of money and resources. - Implemented both a listserv and knowledge base. Implemented statistics to monitor the impact on the calls handled by customer support, and observed that both efforts caused a decline in customer support needs.

I maintained a credit card processing application. My interviewer asked me if I knew SQL to which I responded “yes” because I did. My first day on the job I was expected to manage a *Sql Server*… this is how I learned to use Sql Server. This was a very small company and I did nearly everything technical. The application was based on Visual Basic, though we did have a website up on IIS. It was long enough ago that I don't recall what language(s) were used. It might have just been static HTML or possibly ASP.

A summer job between my last two semesters in college I was the sole developer of a credit card processing application in ASP. I was provided an initial problem to solve and then left to solve it. I accomplished all that was necessary with additional time available to assist in small pieces of functionality for other clients’ sites.

Christiansburg, Va

This company was a client of Net2Phone and was near my college so I picked up an IT job there helping them with their PBX . The vast minority of my work was on the PBX system. I mostly fixed client computers, ran cables, fixed printers, managed Exchange servers, etc.

I was in IT for Net2Phone, a server based PBX system from the folks at Claflin & Clayton. I helped manage the servers, printers, etc.

I mostly helped with IT issues around the office but would occasionally write helper apps in VB 6.

Northboro, Ma

I was a the office IT person (Windows for Workgroups on a token ring network) and helped out with small odds and ends. It was a really neat job that dealt with some older tech. They made Ethernet cards for Digital servers. I got to work with employees from digital with single digit employee numbers.
