As President, I led the officer corps and helped other officers with their responsibilities. I leveraged my prior officer experience to create and execute plans for the year. I also served as the primary liaison between the group and the administration, student body, and general public. In addition, I made sure to not only maintain, but keep improving the group's fun, inclusive, and positive culture.

I effectively ran a small business as Business Manager of the Bubs. I coordinated internal and external group logistics for all gigs, rehearsals, events, and trips. I generated revenue by handling outbound and inbound performance-booking efforts. I served as the primary client-facing contact for all engagements. In addition, I managed the group’s financial transactions, performance contracts, and cash flow. I also worked closely with the President and Beelzebub Alumni Association Treasurer to implement and maintain the No Barriers To Brotherhood program, a financial support system for all Bubs.

As Historian, I coordinated events and facilitated discussions with the group’s extensive alumni network. I collaborated with the other officers to navigate the challenges posed by COVID-19 and to enable the group to operate in innovative ways, such as online marketing campaigns and individual recording sessions. I also planned activities and history nights for the group’s members to foster an appreciation for Bub history and maintain an enjoyable, inclusive environment.

I was a TA for EC 5: Principles of Economics. I held two 50-minute recitations per week, during which I went over material discussed in class, walked through practice problems, and answered any questions students had. I was also responsible for grading quizzes / exams and helping students out with any questions outside of class / recitation time.

I generated efficient solutions to issues that each desk within investment operations was experiencing, particularly relating to forecasting, trade confirmation, controls reporting, reconciliation, waterfall payments, and cash settlement instructions. I also presented overviews of each desk to the whole team on a biweekly basis. In addition, I coordinated the delivery of weekly investment meeting notes to the entire investment office and created informational slides detailing important sections of the company’s history for future use.

I produced relevant clips of sales call recordings for use in training sessions, updated content in Guru cards to enable sales reps to be prepared for various scenarios, and scheduled onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company.

On the SMR team, I flipped over $173,000 worth of renewal pipeline to reps, enhancing efforts to keep many customers current on MathWorks’ software maintenance service. I created 13 opportunities for sales reps in 2 weeks on the Sales Development team by cold-calling MQLs. A side project I worked on was developing content in Highspot on various products and toolboxes for future SDRs to utilize. Over the course of the summer, I recorded 12 value adds, primarily training referrals and revenue upsells.

I researched early-stage startups to find potential investments for Glasswing, sourcing deals via LinkedIn, university resources, and slack groups. I created 1-2 page summaries for each startup, analyzing reasons to proceed and risks involved. I presented these deal summaries at biweekly Ignite team meetings.

I progressed $2,000,000+ of sales pipeline by coordinating sales activity and managing messaging. I organized 30 panels of marketing, sales, and product thought leaders to cultivate marketing content. I also created pre-meeting briefings for the Co-Founders to help drive impactful sales conversations. In addition, I monitored 2 slack workspaces and 2 online discussion forums on a daily basis to find potential leads.

As one of the earliest members of the sales team at Reprise, I developed an effective prospecting process for an extremely early-stage tech startup. I generated 25 new sales engagements through outbound outreach every month, leading to 6 trials and roughly $300,000 of pipeline per month. I also uploaded information into a CRM to efficiently store data on prospects, companies, and the advisory board.

As a summer intern, I created personalized reports for client meetings, tracked and updated IRS-required account withdrawals for 80 clients, and electronically filed financial documents to maintain previous records in a more orderly fashion.
