Having completed my secondment with the NARU training facility at the DCBRNC at Winterbourne Gunner, to take on a new challenge as the HART Training Manager at East Midlands Ambulance Service.I then progressed to the position of HART & Special Operations Manager.Whilst fulfilling my role as the National Training Manager I also maintained responsibility of my previous role as Operational Command Training Lead. As well as managing the Award winning Education Centre, my main work streams include running the CBRN Operational Commander Course. I have also written and facilitated courses specifically aimed at developing HART Team Leaders in their role.I became a CBRN practitioner in 2004, and went on to become a SORT Team Bronze shortly afterwards. It was therefore a natural progression to join Hazardous Area Response Team in 2008, initially with East Midlands Ambulance Service and subsequently South Central Ambulance Service.I have also been involved in numerous projects and events including assisting in the design and delivery of Amber 2, the largest pre-hospital exercise ever held in the UK. I regularly assist delivering JESIP Command train the trainer courses and assisted in the roll out of the Home Office (OSCT) MTFA training to Multi-Agency Commanders, EOC Managers and LRF's.I was heavily involved in the design and roll out of the NARU Education Centre Web site and prospectus.I am currently qualified as an RPS, a NILO, CR1 & PRPS Instructor as well as being a HAZMED officer as well as PHTLS.I have received been awarded the West Midlands Ambulance Service Chief Officers Commendation for Outstanding Team Achievement and the Advancing Healthcare Award for Special Achievement.
