I recently completed an internship at Seaspan, where I worked within the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) department, collaborating closely with the Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) team under the umbrella of Systems Engineering. My primary focus was on the Joint Support Ship (JSS) project for the Canadian Navy, where I developed and managed the PSAR/LSAR for the AFFF fire suppression system alongside other LSA Engineers. This role provided me with invaluable experience in advanced logistics support, including detailed cataloging of system components, management of NATO stock numbers, and the rigorous application of MIL-SPEC and NATO standards.I actively corresponded with clients, vendors, and the navy, and I conducted Initial Provisioning Conferences (IPCs) with naval officials. I also played a significant role in developing the PSAR and LSAR for the AFFF system on the JSS 1. Through this experience, I became proficient in using Omega PS, IFS, and ARAS for logistics support and analysis. I also obtained Reliability Level Security clearance from the Canadian Government, allowing me to handle sensitive and classified information. As I approach my final year of Mechanical Engineering at UBC, I remain passionate about pursuing a career in the defense industry. My strong interest in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, and astronautical engineering drives me to tackle complex challenges. I plan to pursue a PhD in astronautical engineering to deepen my expertise, which I believe will be extremely beneficial for future industry applications. My goal is to leverage my technical skills and hands-on experience to contribute to pioneering projects in defense and space systems, enhancing operational readiness and support for advanced defense and aerospace technologies. If you're interested in discussing innovative ideas, exploring potential collaborations, or connecting, feel free to reach out.
