Faces of Hope Victim Center is a warm and welcoming place where people affected by interpersonal violence can receive help with no judgment, no strings, and no fees. Our mission is to reduce victimization with a safety net of crisis services. Through one door, our specialized multi-disciplinary team wraps around an individual or family and provides crisis-intervention services to stabilize them. Although we have law enforcement on site, we do not require that adults file a report with them to receive services.Today, Faces of Hope Victim Center stands as the ultimate safety net for victims of abuse and neglect in Ada County. As a partner in the Center the Faces of Hope Foundation fills a fundamental gap in resources by providing services essential to victims’ well-being. For example, the Foundation provides legal aid, protection orders, safety planning, residential repairs, basic necessities, emergency housing assistance, transportation, and education. OverviewBuilding Hope Today is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to reduce and prevent childhood sexual abuse. We have found subject-matter experts from across the the state of Idaho, who teach on very complicated, emotional issue- child sexual abuse cases. Our subject-matter experts train on how to corroborate a child’s story without witnesses. Which is vital because conviction “requires corroboration of the child’s story”, but in most cases, the abuse happens secretly and alone with the child. We teach multi-disciplinary teams how to secure the pconviction through our training on grooming and delayed disclosure, victim advocacy and care, prevention and multi-disciplinary team effectiveness. That is our passion and purpose.
