STEP was a creative exercise for students interested in the themed entertainment industry. The project involved creating our own unique theme park with one over arching storyline, several attractions, and supporting teams such as a park app, safety, and marketing. However, STEP 2020 was focused on much more than just building a theme park. This project connected a network of students and industry professionals from around the globe and helped students sharpen their skills. In total, we had 70 student participants throughout the summer and 17 professional mentors supporting us in this new journey. Above all else, STEP supplied a common goal, encouragement to make the most of the situation, and hope in the midst of global pandemic.
