• Modernization of the paypal’s existing infrastructure and applications required expanding privileged access including privileged credentials, SSH keys, API keys, Encryption keys and other secrets. This project is to revamp and streamline our existing Secrets Management tooling to secure the privileged credentials, reduce manpower and ongoing costs. • Created an extensive business functional and non-functional requirements matrix by working with various stakeholders. • Implemented a POC and compared various products in the space from the perspective of security, use-case coverage, implementation costs, scalability, availability, maintenance costs, feature extensibility and API access. • Designed and implemented the product considering all the non-functional requirements like scalability, high-availability, low-latency and high throughput. • Improved the overall security posture by enabling dynamic secrets access. • Generated cost savings of ~300k annually.
