Success is not final, fear is not fatal. As a 4th Generation Entrepreneur I define success as trying new things- be it diversifying the business or experimenting with new products in the business. I deeply believe that unless we take a risk, act quickly and move with conviction we will not know the way forward. A risk that paid off: Setting up MLJ industries (high capex) with our own polyextrusion lines, opening up our focus areas to incorporate sustainability, printing lines and flexible packaging were all risks. Most importantly shifting the legacy mindset from paper trading to manufacturers took breaking a lot of the expected norms. Another risk I took was entering Civil Construction under our parent company MLM. An absolutely enriching experience where I surprisingly learnt deeply about mining, and also the vagaries of the construction business and the extremely heavy cost a single day’s delay can have. We may have had financial setbacks, which taught us what not to do. A people’s person, I am known to be very persuasive, extremely approachable and someone who cuts through the faff and moves quickly. My eye is perpetually on growth with a nuanced understanding of the execution needed to back the growth. The Jain ideology of Giving is embedded in me. I fund the education of 300 labour families to ensure not just them but their future generations will have a better quality of life. I can be found on the basketball court, kicking back with a good movie or exploring the world when not taking forward the legacy of the MLM empire. Drop me a DM on LinkedIn if you want to talk about sustainability, specialty coatings, flexible packaging or an interesting diversification idea.
