Authoring and publishing articles on quantum research and simplifying complex quantum concepts to enhance public understanding. I contribute content under the username “Schander,” with a focus on making quantum computing accessible to a broader audience.

I have been providing tutoring services for this organization (not the only one), focusing primarily on mathematics (up to AP Calculus BC), physics (up to AP Physics C: Mechanics), as well as SAT and ACT preparation. My tutoring sessions are for both individual tutees and groups.

I working as an intern with a mentor based in Greece to develop a version of the Quantum Approximation Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) to solve different instances of the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). This internship provides me with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of quantum computing and algorithm development. Through this internship, I am expanding my understanding of quantum computing, TSP, and working on new research.

I am currently engaged in a research project focused on time series analysis and machine learning development. My work revolves around the utilization of Changepoint kernels and auto forecasting techniques to enhance dataset analysis. I am fortunate to be guided by an experienced Instagram engineer and a researcher in the field of bioinformatics. Our research is progressing well, and we anticipate achieving conclusive results by December 2023, with the possibility of a forthcoming publication.

I was involved in a research position with Professor Carmen Constantin from Oxford University, which focused on the exploration of quantum theory, process theory, and diagrammatic reasoning. Specifically, we researched topics such as quantum teleportation and protocols. Through this position, I gained valuable experience and expertise in the field of quantum computing, which will help me pursue my academic goals and contribute to the advancement of the field.

Previously, I completed an internship through the QIntern 2022 program, and currently, I am working as an intern for a QResearch project. My primary role in this internship is to optimize the code related to the quantum computing Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithm. Specifically, I am focusing on Layer VQE and Filtering VQE. This role provides me with the opportunity to apply my skills and expand my knowledge in the field of quantum computing algorithm development. Through this experience, I am gaining a deeper understanding of quantum computing and VQE algorithm development.

During my internship at the iStart Valley accelerator, I spearheaded the development of QuantumFab, a pre-seed startup aimed at revolutionizing the field of quantum computing. QuantumFab combines classical chip-making methodologies to pave the way for a scalable silicon quantum processor. Out of the approximately 15 ideas pitched during the internship, QuantumFab secured first place. This company idea is still being developed.

I participated in a program where I wrote my first research paper on recent advancements in quantum computing, hardware, and advantage. Through this program, I gained valuable insights into the latest developments in quantum computing and the potential of quantum advantage. This experience allowed me to apply my knowledge and develop my research skills, which will be useful as I continue to pursue my academic goals in quantum computing.
