I am currently an ML engineer at Doordash. For the first year and a half of my career here, I was part of the search team. During that stint, I got the opportunity to work on several foundational projects including rearchitecting our retrieval flow (https://doordash.engineering/2020/12/15/understanding-search-intent-with-better-recall/), and building out our new indexing pipeline (https://doordash.engineering/2021/07/14/open-source-search-indexing/)I have recently moved over to the Fraud ML engg. team. In my current role, I am building ML models to fight fraud, and rearchitecting parts of our ML training pipeline to incorporate larger and more complex models.In my past life, I finished my Phd on Mathematical Biology. I find Statistics really cool, and have remained a hobby mathematician.
