Currently based at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, I am focused on advancing medical imaging technology through the development of Cherenkov-based detectors. Previously, during my tenure at the Department of Physics at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, I worked on enhancing PET imaging by pioneering a demonstrator that leverages gamma-ray polarization for improved accuracy.I am an experienced researcher with a solid background in medical imaging detector development, combining expertise in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics, radiation detection, C++, MATLAB, and advanced simulation techniques, including theoretical nuclear models and Monte Carlo simulations. My academic foundation includes an M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, where my research centered on heavy-ion reactions and associated modeling. I hold a Ph.D. in Nuclear Reactions from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, where my work contributed to innovative solutions in reactor waste incineration, cross-sectional analyses for next-generation reactor materials, and the development of new production routes for medical isotopes.
Listed skills include Experimental Physics, Leadership, Microsoft Office, Management, and 12 others.

At the Photon Detector Lab, IJS, we are aiming to develop Cherenkov light-based PET detectors to achieve state-of-the-art spatial and timing resolution.
Zagreb, Croatia
Worked on the development of a PET demonstrator for the improvements of SNR and SBR using polarization correlations of annihilation gammas under the "(SiLGaP)" project.
Vadodara Area, India
I completed my Ph.D. entitled, "Study of nuclear reaction cross-sections for reactor applications", under the supervision of Prof. Surjit Mukherjee from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat 390002, India. During my Ph.D. period, I worked on the experimental measurement of different nuclear reaction cross-sections of several isotopes of importance in fission/ fusion reactors and medical isotope production up to 22 MeV proton energies. The experiments were performed using the 14MV Pelletron accelerator at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and the 6 MV Folded Tandem Ion accelerator (FOTIA) at Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC). In this study, natural and enriched target foils of different isotopes were irradiated using protons of 22 MeV. A stack of aluminum foils was used to degrade proton energy into the steps of 2 MeV to cover several energies at a time. For neutron irradiations, protons of required energies (Ep) were first bombarded on a Lithium target, which produces neutron of energies (Ep − 2.88) MeV via natLi(p,n) reaction, where 2.88 MeV is the threshold of this reaction. The irradiated foils are then used to measure the induced activities using a high-purity Germanium (HPGe) detector. The reaction cross sections were measured using the most abundant γ-rays in each produced radioisotope.
Vadodara Area, India
Worked on Department of Atomic Energy - Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (DAE-BRNS) funded project, "Study of neutron-induced reaction cross section up to 18 MeV for advanced reactor design". The project involved excitation function measurements for different structural materials for the advanced nuclear fusion/fission reactor system. The project also involved the study of different possible production routes for medical isotopes for their cost-effective production and drug delivery.
Vadodara, Gujarat, India
During the DAE-BRNS funded project, "Study of neutron-induced reaction cross section up to 18 MeV for advanced reactor design", I worked on experimental measurements of cross sections of different reaction channels for reactor fuel and structural isotopes. Several experiments were performed at the TIFR Peleetron Accelerator and the Folded Tendam Ion Accelerator (FOTIA) at BAR, India, to perform different studies during the project. At FOTIA, I had the chance to work on an interdisciplinary project where daily use medicines were exposed to high-energy protons to study and simulate the effect of outer space radiation (mainly protons, other ions present in the Galactic Cosmic radiation were not studied due to their low contribution) and the changes in the chemistry and efficacy of those medicines.
Bareilly Area, India
Future Institute of Engineering and Technology is a leading institute in the Bareilly area. I was there as a physics lecturer from July 2014 to Feb-2015. While working there I used to give lectures in the following areas of physics.Modern Physics || Applied Physics || Quantum Mechanics || Laser and its applications || Electrical and electrical engineering materials || general Physics lab
