I pursued my undergraduate thesis in the Peng lab under the supervision of Professor Hui Peng. Our research focused on purifying surfactant samples from detergent runoff in wastewater environmental samples. I developed analytical protocols to isolate these specific compound groups from a complex mixture, and further conducted research to elucidate their role in a newly discovered biological pathway that may instigate obesity and diabetes in humans.

During my time with CDL, I facilitated relationships between Materials Science ventures and their mentors by providing strategic feedback and communicating mentor advice. I also took part in recruitment of deep tech ventures by supporting the lead generation and outreach efforts of the Matter, Neuro, and Fintech teams at CDL, and took ownership of my own set of ventures to outreach and convert into applications for the program. I finally worked with the Neuro team to conduct interviews assessing Neuro Ventures' tech, team, and scalability to determine their fit with the program.Creative Destruction Lab is an accelerator program focused on scaling early-stage deep tech companies through mentorship and strategic support.
