My primary role is to do Multibody dynamics and Structural Simulations of Live Tank Circuit Breakers. I am involved in solving challenging issues in the development of high voltage breakers and mentored by Senior colleagues , highly experienced in the domain.

Multi-body Dynamics Simulations for full vehicle virtual durability analysis.Virtual Durability simulations have been explored in recent years to understand the loads acting on structural components in automotive industry. This thesis aims to consolidate the state of the art techniques in virtual durability simulations of full vehicle testing and adapt them to Scania's product development standards.

The track focuses on development and engineering of innovative technical systems and high-performing components, and relies on a holistic design approach as well as on specialist knowledge. Realisation of world-class machines requires model-based development and computer-tools for choosing proper materials and manufacturing methods for the components, optimizing the entire system and making it less sensitive to variation in product properties, human treatment and operational and environmental conditions.

Teaching Assistant for the courses MF2068 Machine Dynamics and MF2054 Model Based Design for the Machine Design Masters Program.

1)Developed robust engineering calculators for analysis of chassis, suspension and brakes.The tools helped in the concept design and reduced time in the development.2)Explored the benefits of 1D simulation in vehicle dynamics analysis.1D simulation has lot of potential in getting system level insights into the performance of the car. The vehicle dynamics module at LMS AMESim was explored in depth and possibility for potential models that could be developed were identified.3) Participated in the development of driveline models to understand the NVH issues as well as evaluate the posssibility of correcting them.3)Detailed brake feel prediction model in collaboration with Siemens to optimize the brake feel and performance using LMS AMESim , a 1D simulation software. The project involved a detailed modeling of brake sub systems like booster and helped understand the role they play in brake feel. Multiple attribute balancing is an upcoming concept being pursued vigorously by the industries.

1)Brake judder modelling to study the effect of lumped parameters of brakes, suspension and steering on brake judder and its transfer path.2)Built a full vehicle thermal management model for studying the influence of different thermal management strategies on energy consumption.3)Developed a Half car model in Scilab,an open source numeric computation tool for studying the sensitivity of vehicle geometry and suspension properties to ride performance.4)Developed a steering effort calculator for two-wheeled vehicles.

Built a computer program for brakes system designers that predicts the braking performance of a given vehicle.The tool enables the designers to reduce physical prototyping and design iterations.
