• Developed a novel search algorithm based on the run property of pseudo noise (PN) codes to distinguish and track a particular pilot signal amongst multiple code division multiple access (CDMA) pilot signals being.
• The PN code transmitter, acquisition circuit and baseband code tracking loop were modeled usingSIMULINK. Our simulation was used to check a proof of concept that a single earth based antenna can transmit and receive.
• The design reduced the amount of time required for code acquisition, decreased the number of hardware components (adders, multipliers) required to realize the algorithm on the satellite. Both of which are crucial.
