● Responsible for the design, development, deployment, end to end availability, performance and support of the entire eHarmony (excluding recommendation) suite of applications(customer facing services, backend systems as well as internal systems).● Recent major projects that I drove from initiation to delivery : ○ 3 day HOLD for purchases on eharmony to bring down refunds and chargebacks. This brought down refunds and chargeback by around 20 percent for the first 3 day post the purchase. ○ SALES TAX implementation across the entire product line. This contributed to around 2 percent of eharmony revenue. Earlier we were paying sales tax to states but not collecting from our users.○ Build an OFFER-CHAIN system for new / existing customers as well as a new system to facilitate percent off and dollar off PROMO codes implementation. Brought down time to set up promos from 3 days to under 30 mins.● Manage core eHarmony systems (including photos, comm, registration, login , profile ,newsfeed,subscription, users etc) as well as internal applications like customer care tools, payment systems, batch jobs and fraud prevention systems● Drive technical projects and provide hands-on leadership by helping design key production features, coding, task planning, and code reviews.● Lead and supervise a team of 11-18 highly talented engineers(onshore and multiple offshores). Worked on three Java/J2EE development projects (for a Belgian telecom company called Telenet) when with Infosys between July 2004 and June 2005. • Jan-May 2005: Developed a module for managing theinventory service of the Telenet Network .Was involved in the project form Design onwards.A very challenging project because of generic design and stringent time-lines.My work was rated as an exceptional performance by my project lead.• Oct 2004-Jan 2005: Was involved in a Billing Project for the same client whose functionality resembled that of the telecom product Arbor (Billing Side ie Payments, Usage) to J2EE..The project was a zero priority 1 delivery.• Jul-Sep 2004 : Studied the implications of the new VAT regulation and format that the Belgian government came out with and prepared the existing systems to cater those regulations. It was a zero defect delivery.
