CIBC has embarked on a program to deliver a MIS platform for Business Banking Customer Profitability (BBCP) in early 2013. The delivery is spread across multiple projects and iterations. This is a first-of-a-kind endeavor among any Canadian bank to develop a customer profitability application across all portfolios for the commercial banking segment. The solution comprises of the following key components:• Central Data Store on Netezza built based on IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) model• ETL using Informatica and Autosys for scheduling• Cognos TM1 as the calculation engine• Cognos BI for Reporting

Data Lake Customer Demo IRB is an internally funded initiative to create a demo of Data Lake on IBM Cloud. The objective is to demonstrate our capability in building Data Lakes using integrated set of IBM tools and technology. Customer lifetime value and opportunity to cross-sell and up-sell has been identified as a use-case for banking industry for demo. Structured (enterprise data like customer, product, assets, balances, revenue and cost) and unstructured data (like weblogs, twitter feeds and emails) are joined up to provide a view of:• Value created within existing customer base• Quantify opportunity size within existing baseThe key technology components of the solution include BigInsights, DataStage, IGC, R, SPSS, Tableau and Cognos BI. User Experience components was developed thru IBM Apple Garage.

IBM is responsible for Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) services for Vodafone UK BI Domain. Vodafone BI portfolio includes the Enterprise Data Warehouse built on Teradata, Ab Inito ETL, Reporting using Business Objects, Campaigning using Chordiant, Analytics using SAS and CIM Reference Data Management. IBM is engaged in multiple BI application development projects of varying size and complexity. Notable projects being executed are:• NewCo EDW – Redevelop interfaces and ‘keeping the lights on’ for EDW and downstream applications as legacy sources are being replaced by Oracle stack of applications.• Retail MIS Replacement – Decommission legacy and externally hosted Retail MI capability by integrating with EDW and deliver a multi-channel reporting capability.• Vsight – Replace the legacy presentation layer with a strategic dimensional and aggregate layer that will reduce data latency and enable self-serve.• Network Analytics – Build a new OSS Data Store and Reporting solution by integrating network, call and other reference data to deliver a data driven capability towards network issue resolution and better customer experience.

Solutioning supports technology and architecture functions during the presales cycle in IBM. The primary responsibility is to understand client requirements, jointly assess business value, define solution architecture, conduct proof of concept/value, create delivery roadmap, develop proposals and perform estimations. The primary drive by Ricoh was to standardize all its operations across the business units in Europe. As a result a drive named SHARE (Synchronization and Harmony Among Ricoh Europe) focused on stream-lining the front-office and back-office operations, interfacing the two, and reporting the same in a standard format. The data warehouse intended to bring data from both the front-office (SMART Siebel) and back-office (SHARE Oracle Apps) application and consolidating them over history in a single repository. The data was to be used for KPI-based reporting. The reporting and analytics were aligned across 3 business areas identified as:• Supply Chain Management• Service• FinanceThe scope of this project was to implement the solution for UK1 which comprised of UK and Ireland with future scope to be expanded over all other establishments of RFG in Europe. The technology stack comprised of DataStage, Oracle and Cognos.

IBM Marketing teams used a warehouse system to create a single view of customer for targeting and campaign marketing.The warehouse system was conceived and created to solve both the problems:• Give a single consolidated view of the customer• Remove the challenges posed by the consolidation by identifying similar customers across sources making use of matching and hygiene rulesThe scope of the project included changing the existing hard-coded system to a business rule driven model which can be controlled by metadata. Three instances of the system needed to be installed to cater to 68 sources from EMEA, NA, and world-wide. The tools and technology included DB2, C, C++, sqC, Perl and Python.
