About Siddhartha Das

I am a dedicated social development professional with an experience of more than 20 years in policy and project management which includes significant credentials in designing, developing and planning WASH, Education, HIV/AIDS and Public Health programmes, managing and supporting partners in programme implementation, and Monitoring and Evaluation. I am having rich experience of working with government partners, strategic planning, business development, and complex country programs. I have held leadership positions with reputed organizations and have managed teams having diverse ranges of expertise.Presently, I am the Asia & Pacific Regional Coordinator for Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) providing specialized strategic advisory support and coordination to SWA country governments and other constituencies in the Asia Pacific region to maximize the impact of their WASH plans for achieving the SDG6 targets. As the Regional Coordinator of SWA, my mission is to forge a path toward universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in the Asia-Pacific region. My role leverages strategic leadership and regular engagement with 22 country governments, honed through years of dedication in the sector, to support and guide both partner and non-partner governments. The core of my competency lies in crafting regional strategies that align with global objectives while catering to unique regional contexts. Through this, our team has successfully orchestrated high-level ministerial meetings held on a periodic basis and built collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, significantly advancing the WASH agenda. I am also leading the Head of State Engagement with 3 country governments across the Asia Pacific region, which calls upon Heads of States to prioritize Water, Sanitation and HygienePreviously, I was leading the India Sanitation Coalition(ISC) Secretariat which is based at FICCI . My work entailed leading a multi disciplinary team , strategic planning, high level advocacy and collaborating with key stakeholders. ISC was conferred a top award by GOI for its contribution to Sanitation under the corporate engagement category. I have also worked with organizations like UNICEF, WaterAid, KPMG and International HIV/AIDS Alliance in different capacities.My experience in highest level advocacy along with experience in project management is strongly complemented with a demonstrated experience of working at different strategic facilitation levels, while never compromising the community centric approach
