Current1. Leading SWA country engagement to achieve universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene across the Asia and Pacific regions2. Support 16 in country partner governments and 6 non partner governments in the preparations for high level Regional and Global meetings aimed at aligning efforts towards the achievement of the water, sanitation and hygiene related targets of the SDGs3. Lead and manage the development and implementation of a regional SWA strategy aligned with SWA’s overall Strategy 2020-2030 and taking into consideration the region’s particular context4. Assess and identify strategic opportunities in the region, including regional meetings and high-level political processes, and support SWA leadership to strengthen relationships with governments, potential partners, donors and other key stakeholders5. Support to the roll-out of the SWA Accountability Mechanism at country and regional levels 6. Promote Knowledge Management and cross learning among different country governments and other key sector players7. Leading Head of State engagement with 3 governments across the Asia Pacific region which calls for Heads of States to prioritise water, sanitation and hygiene8. • Analyze strategic opportunities in Asia-Pacific region, such as high-level summits and high-level political processes, including Head of State Engagement with select countries, Sector Ministers’ Meeting and Finance Ministers’ Meeting8. Mobilisation of ministers from Asia Pacific for High Level meetings, preparing briefs for ministers and involving them in development of country commitments
