Using renewable resources that conserve soil & water to enhance environmental quality for the future.WHAT IS ZERO BUDGET NATURAL FARMING?Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF), is a method of agriculture that counters the commercial expenditure & market dependency of farmers for inputs like fertilisers & pesticides. ZBNF farmers use natural pesticides and fertilizers using deshi cow’s dung, urine and different types of leaves etc. The 4 wheels of ZBNF include Bijamrut (seed treatment), Jivamrut (microbial culture), Aachadan (mulching) and Waphasa (soil aeration). Earthworms present in the soil are activated. Practicing these techniques enables farmers to save up to 90% water.The concept of ZBNF is further strengthened by the fact that trees and plants growing in a forest form a perfect symbiosis with the insects & other organisms present. They grow naturally & thrive without external interference. Similarly, a farm can thrive by co-existing with other plants & organisms found naturally in the soil. Thus, eliminating the need for chemical enhancers, artificial fertilizers and harmful pesticides.
