Production Manager
CurrentSignificant activities and Time allocation• Ensure that all jobs in production are completed within their prescribed turnaround time.• Ensure that the KPI’s set for each job is achieved.• Ensure the effective operation of all production employees and supervisors.• Ensure that any Team-based leadership skills are imparted and regularly updated for Supervisors and Production Co-Ordinators.• Ensure control of work in progress from receipt to return.• Develop weekly/monthly reports that illustrate: - o Weekly production summary o Monthly production summary• Ensure where possible the output performance of individuals is improved.• Ensure standard costs are maintained and, where possible reduced.• Ensure that staffing levels for the production departments are maintained at a level that will allow weekly production throughput targets to be achieved.• Ensure that staffing levels for the production departments do not exceed the required labour force necessary to meet overall KPI’s and the known level of production throughput.• Ensure that all production hardware is maintained in proper working order through regular maintenance.• Ensure that management is apprised of any potential productivity shortfall due to equipment failure.• Submit to management as required reports that illustrate methods or equipment upgrades that may improve production output.• Ensure that all staff in the production department, regardless of whom they report to, are provided with performance appraisals within twelve months of their previous one.• Conduct performance appraisals more frequently within 12 months where necessary.• Maintain records of interviews for all staff who have been counselled regarding poor performance.• Ensure that the morale of production staff is maintained at the highest level.• Maintain stock control of all consumables within the production department.• Maintain quality assurance procedures for all production activities.
