I have been a visiting scholar at the Interact Lab in CMU, building an open Siri-like speech system. Our stack is built on top of Linux, and uses the Kaldi recognizer with custom acoustic and language models.

I have been a RA with CMU's Human Development Lab, which focuses on international development via literacy research on mobile devices. I have prototyped literacy games using a user-centric approach on low-resource devices, and performed data analysis on a year-long summative pilot study.

I worked at the HCI department at CMU, performing data analysis on the usage patterns and learning gains on a year long pilot with affordable private schools in India.

My Google Summer of Code project was about building a recommendation system for Tuxmath, an open-source arcade style math game. My implementation was based on using a Naive Bayes Classifier. It modeled student knowledge, and made question and topic recommendations.
