I moved on to IT Operations, Business Intelligence, Operations Planning, Operations and Business Strategy while progressively growing my management and leadership competencies. Today, I balance two leadership roles, overseeing operations as a COO for a P&L and the other leading a shared service center for a global organization. This career path along with my education has taught me that:I have a multi-faceted mindset skilled in solving strategic business problems with technology, data and common sense to drive significantly favorable ROI, while being mindful of the guardrails. While my experience provides strong instinct, I do not let that overpower the need for empirical data to support the business decisions I make or influence.I enjoy building new organizations that start with a clean slate. It gives that organization an opportunity to gradually demonstrate value to the business that then reinforces the brand of this organization and makes it self-sustainable. I have had the opportunity to build a few of these and I always look back at them with pride.I value the opportunities of working in a global environment. Working with peers and partners across borders only makes me better as a person - how to accept and adopt other work cultures, how to build and sustain relationships and even how to recognize or criticize in a way that resonates with that culture.I deal with all situations with patience and calmness. It helps me see through the noise, understand business problems and opportunities and thus make high quality business decisions. And while I do that, I always look out for opportunities to learn and apply something new in every situation.
