As a seasoned corporate lawyer with 26 years of extensive experience, I specialize in mergers and acquisitions (both cross-border and domestic), private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate finance, and general commercial law. I have headed the Bangalore and Chennai offices of a prominent pan-India law firm and I am admitted to practice law in India and in England & Wales.Beyond my legal practice, I am passionate about education and serve as a visiting professor at esteemed institutions such as NLSIU, Jindal Global Law School, and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. My public lectures and teaching roles at various universities reflect my commitment to sharing knowledge and shaping future legal minds.I am deeply involved in community and cultural initiatives, having served on the Board of Governors of the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) and presently on the Executive Committee of BIC, currently as the Chairperson of the Program Committee of BIC.     My continuing passion for teaching has lead me to undertake this Adjunct Professorship of Corporate Legal Practice at the Jindal Global Law School, of the O P Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Delhi NCR -- one of India's leading law schools. I take on this role with much pride and enthusiasm alongside my professional working and client responsibilities. Indeed, the fact that I juggle these two worlds together enriches both my teaching experiences as well as my professional output and productivity. I am also Co-Director (in collaboration with the University of Michigan's Law School) of the Michigan - Jindal Centre for Global Corporate & Financial Law & Policy. In these new roles, I hope to enhance my teaching and writing career as part-and-parcel of my life as a corporate lawyer.

Since its founding in 2005 and inauguration by Former President Abdul Kalam, BIC has grown into a premier institution, hosting over 3,000 events and moving into a new, sustainable building in 2019.Having served as an elected Governor on the Board of Governors of the BIC, and currently an elected member of its Executive Committee, I wholeheartedly share in and support the ethos of the institution, apart from striving to contribute meaningfully to its continuing growth and path-setting objectives. As Chairperson of its Program Committee, I am closely involved in managing and curating the various events, sessions, and other programmes at the BIC. Working closely with the administration of the BIC, especially its Executive Director, has given me a ring-side view of how an egalitarian and forward looking institution like the BIC can be built for future generations, based on the simple truth that a public platform supported and sponsored by private contributions, can be, and is indeed, a reality for the greater good of our beloved city of Bangalore.
