I focus on tech, services and industrial companies that are public or backed by a family office, private equity or venture capital. I draw on my experience of working with over 60 companies managing rapid change, special situations, tight cash flows, raising growth capital, M&A, recapitalizations or restructurings. I have experience as a CEO, board member and an advisor. Previously, I was CEO and board member of Salem Steel, a leading, mid-market distributor of precision steel tubes in North America. The company was in the midst of a restructuring crisis, personnel challenges, and a threat to its business model with the introduction of high steel tariffs. By the end of my tenure, the company had a strong business model, steady management, high employee satisfaction, substantially increased profitability and valuation, fortified balance sheet, strong and growing customer and vendor relationships and a leading position in technology and innovation among its industry peers.Prior to launching Orca Advisory, I was in investment banking at UBS. In my last role, I was head of tech and business services sectors covering North America in the financial sponsors and leveraged financial group. My clients were primarily public companies and private equity firms doing leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions, carveouts and restructurings in euphoric and market crisis situations. These sectors had the fastest growth in revenue and were among the most profitable. I started my career in Credit Suisse’s technology investment banking group. I am a co-founder of a tech incubator and a full stack developer. I have also coded software involving generative AI, deep learning and machine learning running serverless on AWS. I believe strongly in investing in society and our community. I am the President of Montgomery Emergency Medical Services, a purpose-driven, 100-person, all-volunteer, donor-funded organization that is responsible for providing 911 emergency medical response, each hour of the day and night throughout the year, to the 23,000 residents and businesses of Montgomery, NJ.
