I graduated from UC Davis in 2019, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. My passion to pursue a career in medicine was largely due to my time at Bayanihan Clinic in UC Davis where I learned the importance of ensuring access to medical care for all and helping the underserved. While I have left Bayanihan Clinic, I have continued to help bridge gaps in access to medical and social services in my local community through community-based projects at Kaiser Vallejo to serving as a health coach for Mabuhay Health Center in the SoMa (South of Market St.) community of San Francisco. I am currently applying to medical school for the 2021-2022 application cycle and while I plan to keep an open mind, I am heavily considering pursuing a career in Family Medicine where I can continue to be a change agent and advocate for the underserved in my local community.
