I was heading two major functions at Jumbo Electronics - the eCommerce business as well as Marketing for the group.eCommerce:They key metric was to grow revenue across our website www.jumbo.ae as well as through franchise eCommerce websites for Dyson & Sony, and through marketplaces. I did this along with my team through focus on site merchandizing, SEO & rank improvements, conversion rate optimization, and a slew of new site features. On the technology front, I was responsible to evaluate and implement various tools and SaaS platforms including a search engine, marketing automation & CRM tool, personalization engine and auto attachment recommender. I also led a rigorous RFP process to select a new eCommerce platform for Jumbo. In less than 3 years, we increased online sales by 4X and organic traffic by 5X. Marketing:Creating a shift from using traditional media channels, to more focussed digital channels to drive conversions amongst the target customer groups was a major change that I led. I created a channel to leverage partnerships with banks, fintech organizations and other partners to drive customer acquisition and create value for our customers - through this we increased penetration for installment plans on electronic devices, launched affordability campaigns and recently went live with a BNPL offering. We worked to create communities for key cohorts such as Gamers, Photography enthusiasts and more recently to launch a premium Grills brand in the region. We used an OmniChannel CRM tool to evaluate impact of marketing programs on driving conversions both online & in-store, and targeted repeat purchases and customer retention. In this stint I also led PR for the group as well all digital and social marketing - across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Ads.
