Internal AuditBangladesh: Plan audits in accordance with MetLife Global Internal Audit Methodology and Risk Matrix, applicable local legal and regulatory requirements and guidelines; Lead the execution of audits in MetLife’s global electronic platform called GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance); Reporting audit findings; Piloting audit projects for Middle East and South Asia; Advising business on Enterprise Self Risk Assessment (ERSA), Strengthening partnership with risk partners (e.g. Compliance); and Lead independent investigations.Nepal and Pakistan: Plan audits in accordance with MetLife Global Internal Audit Methodology and Risk Matrix, Review and Monitor the execution of planned audit activities; Guide and coach country auditors to ensure quality, timing and reporting; Perform independent investigations.RiskWorking as an observer of operating risk functions of South Asia operation led by the Regional Chief Risk Officer.

Develop audit plan, monitor, review and finalize audit of various local and multinational manufacturing and trading companies, telecom companies and power generation companies; Prepare/ review financial statements to ensure compliance with IAS/ IFRS (BAS/ BFRS in Bangladesh) and local laws and regulations;Assisting in preparation of financial statements and advising on appropriate accounting treatment of complex transactions (e.g. revenue recognition- multiple deliverables, customer loyalty program and principal versus agent relationship; Income Taxes- both current and deferred tax; Investment property; Property, plant, and equipment- asset exchange transactions, asset retirement obligations, borrowing cost capitalization; Financial instruments; leases etc.);Advising on internal control frameworkMajor audit engagements include-• Grameenphone (largest corporate house in Bangladesh, a subsidiary of Telenor ASA, Norway)• Grameenphone IT (currently, Accenture-Bangladesh) • Airtel Bangladesh• Transcom Beverages (local bottler of PepsiCo) • Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company (largest JV in Bangladesh)• Summit Power and its subsidiaries (largest power sector company in Bangladesh)• Brummers and Partners Asset Management (Bangladesh) Ltd.
