Nordic Bioengineering is applying engineering principles to biology e.g. modifying cellulose and add oil-eating microorganisms to creat a nature postive absorbent.We use biological treatment methods for the removal of contaminants in soil and water. We work with microorganisms from the Domain Archaea. Archaea tolerate much harsher environmental conditions and degrade a wide variety of hydrocarbons. Our methods recycle simple, complex and chlorinated hydrocarbons into natural compounds.

The Swallows is an environmental NGO giving financial support to local organizations working with e.g. ecological agriculture, environmental awareness raising and promoting local initiative for an ecological sustainable development.The work included preparing LFA-based project proposals and work-plans, monitoring projects in course, organization of training courses and writing reports as well as preparing Terms of Reference for evaluations, i.e. impact evaluations of our partners that encompass organization capacity building strategies, especially for strengthening participation in environmental issues through local governance.

Working mainly with Agenda 21 issues and environmental management, work task included:Project planning and writing project proposals for implementing Environmental Management Systems in local authorities.
