Assisted a 20 member Clinical & Research genomics team in carrying out the following:•DNA Extraction: Observed and conducted DNA extraction from human blood and buccal samples for the clinical team using silica gel manual extraction method and research genomics team for the Emirati Genome Project (EGP) using automated extractions machines such as CHEMAGIC & Thermo Kingfisher.•DNA Qualitative/Quantitative Analysis: Carried qualitative & quantitative checks of the extracted DNA samples using technologies such as Spectrophotometry (Nanodrop) & Fluorometry (Flouroscan/Qubit). •DNA Sequencing: Prepared libraries to conduct long-read sequencing of blood samples using Oxford Nanopore Technology and short-read sequencing of blood and buccal samples using MGI & Illumina Sequencing based on the concentration of the sample for the Emirati Genome Project (EGP).
